The LIDIZ IBS coater line is the result and embodiment of 50 years’ experience in Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) technology. IBS technology is well known for its extremely low-loss optical coatings. LIDIZ IBS Sputtering Systems represent state of the art tools for the deposition of optical coatings for a wide range of applications. LIDIZ has been designed to produce thin films from a wide range of materials with high accuracy and excellent quality.

Our unique self-developed optical process control system OCP Singlewave and OCP Broadband with real-time optimization of the optical coating process enables a tight control of complex filter coatings with high accuracy and repeatability.

COATING APPLICATIONS
LIDIZ IBS systems are designed for a wide range of high-performance optical coating applications, including laser mirrors, bandpass and multi-band bandpass filters, notch and multi-notch filters, and Rugate filters.
The systems are also suitable for low-scatter and low-absorption optics, thin-film polarizers, wide-angle antireflection coatings, coatings on optical fibres, and AR coatings for laser diodes, as well as applications requiring low-defect coatings.
For demanding optical applications, LIDIZ enables the production of low-loss HR and AR coatings with total optical loss below 10 ppm. The systems can also produce complex multi-layer filters with more than 100 layers, providing the high level of precision and thickness control required for advanced optical filter designs.
